The USD750 million hospital, opened in 2012, sits on a 128,000 square-meter plot south of Al Wakra City in Qatar. The complex provides medical services to the growing needs of tghose living in the southern areas if Masaied, easing the burden of the Hamad General Hospital in Doha. The medical complex centers around a seven-story main structure with 321 beds providing state-of-the-art medical and surgical services and includes a burn unit, intensive care unit, emergency area and dental clinic. EIC’s HVAC & Industrial Division provided design, installation, commissioning and testing of the hospital’s massive steam boiler system with three boilers feeding a complex maze of more than 5,000 feet of piping. EIC also provided Air Terminals and plumbing products including floor drains and interceptors. EIC’s Building Management Division handled the design, engineering, installation, testing, commissioning and handover of the hospital’s building management system.
