Siemens Valves and Actuators
Ball Valves
Designed with an internal ball that has flow paths through it and rotates 90 degrees between PTFE seals to open and close to control flow. Most ball valves have a flow characterization disk which provides an equal percentage flow characteristic.
2-Way and 3-Way Ball Valves
6-Way Ball Valves
Butterfly Valves
Butterfly valves are the workhorse in a hydronic system needed to isolate flow with bubble-tight shutoff. Available in 2- to 24-inch sizes (60 – 610 mm) with Cv ranging from 144 to 33,154. Siemens butterfly valves control hot and chilled water with up to 50% glycol over a temperature range of -40° F to 250° F. Used with A-Series industrial actuators and OpenAir™ damper actuators.
Powermite Globe Valves
Range from ½- to 1-inch sizes with Cv from 0.4 to 10. These valves can be used to control hot and chilled water with up to 50% glycol and low-pressure steam <15 psi over a temperature range of 35°F to 250°F.
Flowrite Globe Valves
Range from ½- to 6-inch sizes with Cv from 1 to 400. These valves control hot and chilled water with up to 50% water-glycol and saturated steam up to 100 psi and over a temperature range of 35°F to 337°F.
656/658 Globe Valves
These 2-way and 3-way valves range from ½- to 1¼-inch sizes with Cv from 0.9 to 16. Used to control hot or chilled water with up to 50% glycol and low-pressure steam <15 psi with a maximum temperature of 250°F.
Magnetic Valves – Water and Steam
2-way and 3-way mixing valves range from ½- to 4-inch with Cv from 0.6 to 58. They have modulating control for hot or chilled water, and steam with media temperature ranging from 34 ̊ F to 356 ̊ F.
Magnetic Valves – Refrigeration
Siemens magnetic actuated refrigeration 2-way and 3-way (mixing and diverting) valves are designed for modulating control of refrigeration circuits using most commonly used safety refrigerants as well as R744 (CO2) and ammonia (MVS661 only) with a temperature range of -40° F to 250° F. Available in sizes from ½- to 1¼-inch with Cv from 0.12 to 14.
Pressure Independent Control Valves
Pressure independent control valves (PICVs) improve system performance and optimize delta-T resulting in less pumping energy and contributing to more efficient loading of boilers and chillers. Consists of two-way threaded valves ranging from ½- to 2-inches with maximum flow settings from 0.3 to 50 gpm and flanged valves with line sizes from 2½- to 6 inches with maximum flow settings from 19 to 860 gpm. The differential pressure operating range as low as 2.3 psi to as high as 90 psi. These valves control hot and chilled water with up to 50% glycol over a temperature range of 35° F to 250° F.
Zone Valves
Siemens zone valves have a stroke valve design for on/off or basic modulating control to ensure HVAC hydronic systems deliver reliable comfort. Feature direct-coupled technology for quick connection of the valve body and actuator without tools.
Acvatix Hydronics
Acvatix™ is a versatile range of valves and actuators designed for ease of use, superior control accuracy, and energy efficiency. The Acvatix product range can help you to fulfill nearly any control and hydronic requirements associated with the generation, distribution and use of heating and cooling.
Intelligent Valves
Intelligent Valves are self-optimizing dynamic valves with cloud connection used in heating groups and air handling units. They balance and control flow, measure energy, and provide data for energy monitoring and system optimization.
Intelligent Valves offer benefits:
PICVs
PICVs (pressure-independent combi valves) prevent oversupply and reciprocal hydronic interference, reducing energy consumption and operational costs. Additionally, PICV enabled precise temperature control improves the comfort and wellbeing of building users. Siemens recommends PICVs especially for radiators, chilled ceilings, VAV and fan coil units.
Acvatix product benefits:
Globe Valves
Globe valves are used for flow shutoff, flow regulation or fluids mixing in the majority of HVAC applications. Siemens recommends globe valves especially for floor heating, zone control, heating groups, district heating and boiler plant applications.
Acvatix globe valves provide you with:
Control Ball Valves
Designed for efficiency, with precise control and leak-free operations, control ball valves are used for continuous and precise control in closed circuits. Siemens recommends control ball valves especially for air handling units and the 6-port control ball valves for heated and chilled ceilings.
Acvatix benefits:
Magnetic Valves
Magnetic valves are valves with a pre-installed magnetic actuator. They are used for the shutoff and mixing of fluids (water, water with antifreeze, heat transfer fluid etc.) and steam in nearly all HVAC applications. Magnetic valves are also ideal for applications with even the most stringent requirements, including industry-related areas such as engine test benches. Siemens recommends magnetic valves especially for domestic hot water and chiller plants.
Your benefits with Acvatix:
Rotary Valves – Ball Valves
Ball valves are primarily used in energy generation and distribution. Typical applications are if an additional boiler needs to be connected, or for the switching over of storage tank charging. Siemens recommends rotary valves especially for cooling towers.
Acvatix benefits:
Rotary Valves – Slipper Valves
Slipper valves are primarily used in energy generation and distribution. Typical applications are if an additional boiler needs to be connected, or for the switching over of storage tank charging. Siemens recommends rotary valves especially for cooling towers.

Rotary Vales – Butterfly Valves
Butterfly valves are primarily used in energy generation and distribution. Typical applications are if an additional boiler needs to be connected, or for the switching over of storage tank charging. Siemens recommends rotary valves especially for cooling towers.
Acvatix benefits:
Refrigerant Valves
The Acvatix range offers hermetically sealed mixing, diverting, and 2-port valves for refrigeration plants. They also include refrigerant valves for expansion, hot gas and suction throttle applications. All Acvatix refrigerant valves save energy in the refrigeration plant, for example through their accurate superheat control also in part load situations.
